The growing appeal of Apple Photos lies in its high performance and user-friendly interface. However, users often express frustration with its limitations regarding video format support, as well as its inability to stream content from NAS or cloud storage services. This presents a challenge for those accustomed to traditional media players that offer a wider array of features.

Additionally, Apple Photos lacks essential functionalities such as switching subtitles or audio tracks and does not retain video playback progress, which are standard capabilities in many traditional media players. While these players may not offer the seamless media organization or powerful search functions found in Apple Photos, they do provide certain advantages in versatility.

Media Pro seeks to bridge the gap between Apple Photos and conventional media players by integrating their best features into a single application. This eliminates the need for users to rely on multiple platforms, allowing for a streamlined experience.

Both Apple Photos and traditional media players present shortcomings. Media Pro aims to address these issues and introduce a more comprehensive solution to the market. It supports importing videos, audio files, and images while competing closely with Apple Photos’ organizational capabilities. Future updates will expand its format support to include documents such as PDFs, Word files, and Excel spreadsheets.

Inspired by popular short video applications, Media Pro offers an intuitive swiping functionality that allows users to navigate seamlessly through their media library, reminiscent of the ease found in modern browsing experiences.

The app is optimized for high performance and can effectively manage thousands of media files akin to Apple Photos. Extensive optimizations ensure a smooth user experience without lag.

Media Pro introduces unique features that enhance media management. It enables users to manually mark viewed content and offers robust filtering options, simplifying video browsing and sorting. Users can customize their viewing order by dragging and dropping videos or sorting them by various parameters, including import time and media size.

With integrated iCloud synchronization, Media Pro ensures effortless syncing across devices, mirroring the functionality of the system photo library. Additionally, users have control over local storage management; unlike Apple Photos, which automatically releases older media when space is limited, Media Pro allows users to customize their own storage preferences while managing significant media libraries efficiently.
